Legions of Crows Release A Decorum Jubileo

June 14, 2012

Free Download “Celebrates” Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee

Legions of Crows - A Decorum Jubileo

A digital single for the song “A Decorum Jubileo” has been released in conjunction with a video.
The industrial leanings of the band are very much present here, and with the disgust for British politics and monarchism that the men in the band feel being pushed even further into the fore, this track has deep levels of complexity.
Download the free single here. The file contains the song, a dubstep remix from Lyrical Monsoon, and artwork.

Pogrom Set to Unleash Tape

May 27, 2012

After sitting on it for nearly two years, This Is What I’ve Always Wanted will see release via the classic cassette format.

Pogrom - This Is What I've Always Wanted

Pogrom‘s unreleased ambient/drone/blackened doom long-form song will finally see the light of day as an official release. The tape will feature the 32+ minute track on both sides, a two-panel J-card, and hand numbering with a limit to 69 (60 for sale, 9 for promotions to select zines). The inside of the J-card will also double as a mini Pogrom poster.
Right now the cassette’s color is in limbo, with three choices available for the fans to vote on (Transparent Blue, Black, Royal Blue). Voting is done through the Funeral Rain Records Facebook page, here.
Bonus materials are expected to be produced to go hand in hand with the tape, but what is still undecided. Voting will probably be done for the selections as well, so keep your eyes here and on the Facebook page.

This tape will be a forerunner to the Pogrom full length expected mid 2013, entitled To You I Bequeath. Those who order the tape through Funeral Rain Records will also be given opportunities for special merchandise related to To You I Bequeath.

Sneak (Visual) Preview of Pogrom’s New Noise

April 8, 2012

Here’s an image from the booklet for the next release of Pogrom, an album now titled To You I Bequeath. The photo itself was taken by a femetalhead named Cori, also known as livingdeadgirll.

This love for you shall forever be unrequited

The caption on the bottom of it is This love for you shall forever be unrequieted (sic) which will be a track on the album.
Sound-wise, the album will  sound nothing like Pogrom’s previous work, taking a definite atmospheric, doomy approach. Primarily this is due to the fact that my personal listening choices have ventured further into that territory, as well as the fact that my own inner voice is speaking to me slower and with heavy air.
As more Pogrom news happens, you’ll know. Thanks for reading.
